If not currently registered you will just need to answer a few questions for registration prior to picking up your meals. The program is a walk up “grab and go” program on Tuesdays only from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. However, Meals On Wheels Orange County is operating a donation based meal pickup program which provides 6 frozen meals as well as milks, fruit cups, crackers, etc. Meals on Wheels - Congregate Hot LunchĬurrently we are not offering the Congregate Hot Lunch in person at the Senior Center. The donation based program may have a waiting list based on level of need and funding. Meals are a combination of fresh and frozen food which can be heated in a microwave or oven. To qualify a person must be a Huntington Beach resident 60 years or older, homebound, nutritionally at risk, and unable to cook and shop. Volunteers deliver three (3) meals a day, Monday through Friday, to seniors who qualify under federal guidelines. To join, simply contact your insurance company and bring copy of your member number with you to the Wellness Pavilion. The Wellness Pavilion offers free annual memberships to those with SilverSneakers, Silver & Fit, or Renew Active insurance benefits.

The fitness center offers a wide selection of cardiovascular, strength training, free weight and stretching equipment made by Star Trac and TechnoGym, as well as a variety of health screenings conducted by Hoag medical staff and partners. fitness center, group exercise room and dance room designed to meet the health and wellness needs of older adults living in and around Huntington Beach. The Senior Center in Central Park in alliance with Hoag features a state-of-the-art 5,600 sq.ft. Information, resources, education, mobility equipment, emergency food, and low cost personal emergency systems are available.

Care managers complete phone and in-home consultation to evaluate individual needs and link older adults with services. Services are offered to at-risk Huntington Beach residents aged 60 years and older who live independently in the community. Care Managers offer services to help older adults enhance life, develop long term plans, and age in place.
